Originally set for a February 2021 release, the romantic comedy was moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures has decided to delay the release of Marry Me, featuring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, originally scheduled for May 14, 2021. The new premiere date is February 11, 2022.
The romantic comedy featuring Jennifer Lopez, titled “Marry Me,” was originally set to be released in February 2021. However, due to the pandemic, the release date was moved to May. The film is based on a graphic novel by Bobby Crosby, and follows Lopez’s character, a famous pop star who is set to marry her rock star fiancé (played by Maluma) in a grand event at Madison Square Garden. Just moments before exchanging vows, she discovers that he has been cheating on her with her assistant. Following a dramatic on-stage breakdown, she impulsively chooses a divorced math teacher (played by Owen Wilson) from the audience to marry instead.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date for Marry Me has been pushed back from 2021.

Meanwhile, Wilson’s latest movie Bliss was recently released on Amazon Prime, and he will soon appear in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch and Marvel’s TV series Loki.
